Use Tuhmo AI in the app
Ask questions, give instructions and draft documents from the real data in your workspace, without leaving the page you're on.
Tuhmo AI uses the same set of tools as Tuhmo MCP, so it can find and create tasks, notes, clients, projects and documents. It works with your account's permissions, so it only sees and does what you're allowed to.
Ask and give instructions from any page
- 1
Click the Tuhmo AI button in the bottom right of the screen, or press ⌘J (or Ctrl+J). The chat opens as a panel on the right
- 2
Type a question or an instruction and press Enter to send
Tuhmo AI knows which page you have open, so you can ask about it right away, for example "Summarize this page". If you select text or blocks in a note, the selection is attached to your message. Click + in the message box to attach images, PDFs or text files, or to mention another page, client or project.
Past chats are under "Recent chats" and are kept for 30 days after you last used them. Your chats are yours alone. Others on your team can't open them.
Turn meeting notes into tasks
Open a meeting note or any note you've written and ask, for example, "Split this note into tasks and assign each one to the person who took it on in the meeting". Tuhmo AI can create many tasks at once, with assignee, due date, client and project. It can also update many existing tasks together, such as marking them done or moving their due dates.
Draft quotes, invoices and contracts
Ask for a draft based on what's already in your workspace, for example "Draft an invoice for this project using the items in the note". Documents created by Tuhmo AI are always drafts and are not sent to the client, so you can review and edit them on the document page before sending. It also helps draft messages to clients, translate, summarize, and calculate VAT or withholding tax.
Looks up related information before answering
Before answering questions about your data, Tuhmo AI looks up the related notes, tasks and documents first. For example, if you ask about a client, it checks that client's projects, tasks, notes, meeting notes, quotes, contracts and invoices together. If it can't find something, it says so instead of guessing amounts, dates or names.
Confirms before sending or anything irreversible
When Tuhmo AI is about to do something that can't be undone, the chat shows a "Please confirm" card. Click "Confirm" or "Don't do it". Sending a document to a client always needs confirmation, whatever your setting. Choose how often it asks with the approval button in the message box.
- "Always ask": ask before creating, editing or deleting anything
- "Ask for important actions": the default. Only asks for actions that can't be undone, like sending to clients, deleting, recording payments and voiding invoices
- "Skip approvals": acts without asking, except sending to clients, which always asks
Content in notes, comments and documents is data for Tuhmo AI to read, not instructions. Text hidden in a note can't make it send or delete anything on its own.
Plans and credits
- On the Free and Plus plans, you can try Tuhmo AI once. Trial credits are counted per person, across every workspace that person uses
- On the Business plan, you can use it every month. Credits are shared across the workspace and refill each month. In teams of 3 or more, each person can use up to 40% of the total
- The trial uses the standard model. More capable models are available on Business
A short question uses about 1 to 3 credits. Requests that read a lot of data, smarter models and higher effort levels use more. See how many credits have been used in Settings › Tuhmo AI.
Admins can turn off Tuhmo AI for the whole workspace in Settings › Tuhmo AI. When it's off, no member sees the AI button, and AI chat history for this workspace is deleted.
