GitHub: issue cards and task links to PRs
Paste issue or pull request links to get cards with their state, and put a task ID in commits or PRs so tasks follow progress by themselves.
Issue and pull request cards
- Paste an issue or pull request link on an empty line in a note or task description to get a card with its title, number, state and author
- Public repositories work right away with nothing to install
- For private repositories, click Install GitHub on the card, or go to Settings › Connections › GitHub, and allow access with your GitHub account. Access is read only
- If a card still can't see the item after installing, that repository doesn't have the Tuhmo app yet. Click Install on repositories
Link tasks to PRs and commits
- 1
Open Settings › Connections › GitHub and choose Link tasks to PRs and commits
- 2
Under Linked accounts and organizations, click Link next to the account or organization that has the Tuhmo app (owners and admins)
- 3
Every task has a short ID such as TUH-42. Find it and copy it from the ID row in the task details
- 4
Put the task ID in a commit message, branch name or PR title, such as fix login TUH-42 or a branch named tuh-42-fix-login
PRs, issues and commits that mention a task ID show up in that task's GitHub row with their state, open, merged or closed, plus a small badge next to the task name in lists, tables and boards. If a PR doesn't mention the ID, click Link a PR or issue and paste its link.
Update task status automatically
By default tasks only show the state of their PRs and issues and never change status by themselves. To turn it on for a repository, go to Update task status automatically and click Settings. You can move a task to In progress when a PR opens, to In review or Done when a PR is merged, and to Done when an issue is completed.
Change the task ID prefix
The prefix comes from your workspace name. Owners and admins can change it under Task ID prefix with Change, using 2 to 6 English letters or digits. IDs with the old prefix keep working.
Cards for public repositories work on every plan, including Free. Private repositories and task links to PRs are on Plus and above.

API keys and webhooks
Connect Tuhmo to your own systems with API keys that read and write data, webhooks that tell you when something changes, and URLs that let other systems send work in.
