Create and send a quote
Create a proposal and send your client a link where they can view and accept it right away. Your client doesn't need a Tuhmo account.
Create a proposal
- 1
Go to Proposals in the sidebar and click "New proposal", or open the Proposals tab on a project page.
- 2
Enter a "Proposal name" and optionally pick a "Client", "Project" and "Valid until" date. No field is required.
- 3
On the document, click "Add item" to add line items and prices. Add discounts or withholding tax if needed.
- 4
Changes save automatically as you edit.
Send it to your client
- 1
Click "Send to client" in the document header.
- 2
Pick a recipient from the client's contacts and a channel, such as email or a linked chat. If there are no contacts yet, choose "Type an email".
- 3
Check the subject and message. The link in the message is the real link your client will open. Use "Send copies to" to include other contacts.
- 4
Send.
To send it yourself, click ⋯ and choose "Copy proposal link", or use "Copy message" in the send dialog to paste into a chat.
How your client responds
Your client opens the link and clicks "Accept proposal" or "Decline proposal". They can answer once, the answer reaches you right away, and the proposal's status updates on its own. They can also download a PDF or print from the same page.
If your workspace requires approval before sending, click "Request approval" first. "Send to client" becomes available once the document is approved.
