Track responses and invoice from a quote

See which proposals are awaiting a response, accepted or expired, then turn an accepted proposal into an invoice in one click.

Proposal statuses

  • Draft: not sent yet.
  • Awaiting response: sent and waiting for the client.
  • Accepted: the client accepted.
  • Declined: the client declined.
  • Expired: past the Valid until date.

Record a response yourself

If your client answers some other way, such as by phone or chat, click the status chip in the document header, or ⋯ in the proposals table, and choose "Mark as accepted" or "Mark as declined". If you record the wrong answer, use "Reopen (clear response)".

Once a proposal passes its Valid until date, the client can no longer accept it from the link. Extend "Valid until" or record the response yourself.

Issue an invoice from a proposal

  1. 1

    Open the accepted proposal.

  2. 2

Choose "Issue invoice from this proposal".

  3. 3

An invoice is created with the same items, due in 14 days. You can change it on the invoice.

After an invoice is issued from a proposal, the proposal's response can't be changed. Click "Open invoice issued from this proposal" to go to the invoice.
